Terms of service
Version 2026-08-12
The service
TeamLens provides scheduling, registration, messaging, and game-video tools for youth sports teams, clubs, and leagues. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you use TeamLens on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf too.
Game recording and safety review
Organizations may schedule an adult camera volunteer and record games for film, participant safety, safeguarding, misconduct review, and referee development. Organizations must provide any notice and obtain any consent their jurisdiction requires, especially before enabling audio. Safety incident evidence is restricted, access-logged, and may be placed on a retention hold. It may not be submitted to challenge an ordinary referee judgment call, and users may not redistribute restricted incident evidence.
Adult and athlete accounts
Adults must be 18 or older to create or administer an account on their own behalf. TeamLens does not offer athlete accounts to children under 13. A parent or guardian may provision a read-restricted account for an athlete age 13 through 17 when the organization has enabled that feature; the guardian remains responsible for the account and may remove it. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for activity under accounts you provision or control.
Organizations and their content
Organizations control their programs, fees, rosters, and policies. Registration questions, refund decisions, and roster placement are between you and your organization. Organizations and teams are responsible for the content they upload — including obtaining any consent required to record, upload, or publicly post video and photos of minor athletes, and for following their governing body’s safety rules (e.g. SafeSport/MAAPP).
Your content and ownership
You and your organization keep ownership of the data and content you put into TeamLens (rosters, registrations, messages, photos, and video). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service. We own the TeamLens software, design, and trademarks; nothing here transfers those to you. Authorized users may use the scoped exports available in the product and may request other available organization data through support. We handle deletion requests as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no unlawful content, no harassment, no attempting to access other organizations’ data, no scraping or reselling, and no use of minors’ information for any purpose other than running your program. We may suspend accounts that put athletes or the service at risk.
Payments
Paid town and design-partner services are contracted, invoiced, and reconciled outside the product under an order form or other written agreement. The in-product payment ledger records association participant receipts, not TeamLens contract revenue. Organizations set their own participant registration fees and decide registration refunds. Those receipts may also be recorded manually or offline. When the relevant Stripe payment or connected-account feature is explicitly enabled, Stripe processes the online payment details and the applicable amount, currency, TeamLens fee, and provider charges are disclosed at checkout or in the written agreement. The written order and organization’s refund terms control where they differ from a public estimate.
Third-party services
TeamLens relies on third-party providers to deliver the service — payments, email, SMS, file storage, video, and others. Configured integrations send the data categories described on our subprocessor page, and their processing is governed by our Privacy Policy. The current list is on our Subprocessors page. Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their terms.
Email and SMS
By providing contact details you agree to receive transactional messages about your team (schedules, reminders, registration). SMS is opt-in only; reply STOP to any text to opt out, and manage all channels on the Preferences page. Consent to SMS is never a condition of registration.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. TeamLens is a software tool: we do not run programs, supervise athletes, independently vet volunteers, guarantee third-party screening results, or verify the accuracy of schedules or rosters entered by organizations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you (or your organization) paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Governing law and disputes
A signed pilot order form or other written agreement controls its own governing-law and dispute terms. Where no written agreement supplies those terms, applicable law and a court with lawful jurisdiction control. TeamLens does not impose an arbitration or class-action waiver through this public page. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Termination and changes
You can stop using the service any time. Authorized organization users may use the scoped exports available in the product and contact support about other available data, retention, or account closure. We may update these terms — material changes will be announced in the app, and continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions: legal@teamlens.app.
